“After finishing with only 7 at-bats in less than 10 innings as a junior, and being told by my coach that I wasn't going to play as a senior, I started using some of the written goal-setting techniques Coach Smith taught me. We also went to work on my swing after practices. As a senior, I started all 31 games and was named 1 st Team All Tournament at the 2005 Phil Nevin National Classic, where I batted .692 and hit 6 doubles. What's really powerful is that I've been improving a lot in other areas of my life, most notably school and career, by using the exact same techniques. I feel like I have no limits now.
